Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Grilling mobile app ("Grilling", "the app"), operated by Grilling Games Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Questions: support@grillinggames.com.

Who can use Grilling

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EEA) to use the app. Grilling is not directed to children under that age.

Your account

When you first open the app we create an anonymous account so you can play and save your progress. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account on your device. You can delete your account and the data linked to it at any time from within the app (About → "Delete account & data").

Licence to use the app

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms. This licence does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

Our intellectual property

The app, including its software, graphics, branding, trademarks, and other content (excluding User Content), is owned by Grilling Games Ltd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the app except as these Terms or applicable law expressly permit.

User content

Grilling lets you and other players create content during games — for example display names, answers, votes, drawings, likes, and any text you type such as custom questions, clues, prompts, categories, and guesses ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for the User Content you create, and you confirm you have the right to share it.

You keep ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and process that content as necessary to operate, improve, and provide the Services — for example, showing your drawings, answers, and display name to other players in your game. This licence ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except where we must retain it to comply with law or enforce these Terms.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour

We have zero tolerance for objectionable, abusive, or illegal content and behaviour. You agree that you will not create, submit, upload, or share any content, or behave in any way, that:

• is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of another person's privacy;
• is hateful or discriminatory, or promotes violence or hatred against individuals or groups;
• is obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise indecent;
• bullies, intimidates, threatens, or targets any individual;
• contains another person's personal or identifying information without their consent;
• infringes any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• contains malware, spam, or attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the app, our systems, or other users; or
• impersonates any person or misrepresents your affiliation with anyone.

By using the app you agree to these standards. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

Reporting, blocking, and enforcement

If you see objectionable content or experience abusive behaviour, you can report it from within the app (tap a player to report them). Hosts can also remove or ban players from a game. We aim to review reports promptly, typically within 24 hours — including removing offending content and ejecting users who violate these Terms. We may, at our discretion and without notice, remove content, suspend or terminate access, or ban any user who breaches these Terms or whose conduct we consider harmful to other users or to the app. We may suspend or terminate access immediately where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, including by reverse-engineering it, interfering with its normal operation, attempting to access it through unauthorised means, or using it to violate any applicable law.

Purchases

The app may offer in-app purchases (such as Remove Ads), processed by Apple or Google. Purchases are subject to the applicable app store's terms. Except where required by law or the app store's policies, purchases are non-refundable.

AI-generated content

Some features use artificial intelligence to generate game content. Such content is produced automatically, may not always be accurate, and is provided for entertainment only.

Service availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Services, except to the extent the law requires otherwise.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that User Content created by other players will be appropriate or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

App stores

If you download the app from the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies in addition to these Terms. These Terms are between you and Grilling Games Ltd, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app via any app store is also subject to that store's own terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country in which you live.

Changes

We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be notified in-app where appropriate. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
